Dimensions Healthcare System engages Cambio Health Solutions, LLC
CHEVERLY, MD -- As outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding between the State of Maryland and Prince George's County, the Board of Directors of Dimensions Healthcare System has approved the engagement of Cambio Health Solutions, LLC ("Cambio"), a consulting firm specializing in financial turnarounds. Cambio has extensive experience in assisting health systems find solutions to complex strategic operational and financial challenges. "This initiative is one of several steps in the process to develop both a short-term financial recovery plan and a long-term strategic plan to serve the healthcare needs of the citizens of Prince George's County," said Mr. Calvin Brown, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dimensions Healthcare System.
Cambio's engagement with Dimensions Healthcare System is expected to continue for six to nine months, during which time they will be reviewing previous studies of Dimensions Healthcare System. Cambio will also be meeting with leadership personnel, physicians, employees and community members to assist in the development of a turnaround plan. Mr. Tony Jones, the Chief Restructuring Officer, will lead Cambio's on-site team at Dimensions Healthcare System. In his role, he will oversee the development of the turnaround plan and work closely with Dimensions Healthcare System's Board of Directors on the implementation of recommended actions.

Dimensions Healthcare System is the largest not-for-profit health care system in Prince George's County. Dimensions Healthcare System treats approximately 200,000 patients annually and includes Prince George's Hospital Center, Laurel Regional Hospital, Bowie Health Center, Dimensions Surgery Center and Gladys Spellman Specialty Hospital and Nursing Center.
