The System is comprised of two acute care hospitals, Prince George’s Hospital Center (Cheverly) and Laurel Regional Hospital (Laurel), and the Bowie Health Campus, which includes the Bowie Health Center (Bowie), a stand-alone, 24-hour emergency room and the Dimensions Surgery Center, an outpatient surgery center. In addition, Dimensions operates two ambulatory care centers, Glenridge Medical Center (Lanham) and Cora B. Wood Senior Health Center (Brentwood). All of the Dimensions institutions are not-for-profit, and are dedicated to the highest standards of patient care.
Prince George’s Hospital Center
Prince George’s Hospital Center (PGHC) is an acute care teaching hospital and regional referral center offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services including trauma and critical care , cardiac care, open-heart surgery and therapeutic catheterization, surgical and outpatient services. We have our own ACGME accredited residency program in internal medicine.
In addition, maternal and child health (Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a Perinatal Diagnostic Center) and behavioral health services are offered.
The designated sexual assault center for the county is located within the facility, as well as a graduate medical education residency program.
Laurel Regional Hospital
Laurel Regional Hospital (LRH) is a full-service community hospital offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services including behavioral health, cardiac catheterization, cardiopulmonary, emergency, infusion, maternal and child health , sleep wellness, and wound care & hyperbaric medicine services. LRH has the only hospital-based accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit in the area. Its facilities include expanded emergency services, a critical care area, and a pre-admission testing area. The hospital offers qualified interpreters, text telephones (TTY’s) and other assistance for deaf and hard-of-hearing patients, free of charge.
Bowie Health Campus
The unique 50-acre property provides health care services for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. Comprehensive facilities include the Bowie Health Center (BHC) which provides Level II emergency services 24/7, laboratory services, and radiology services. The Dimensions Surgery Center offers ambulatory surgery and pain management. The Mullikin Medical Center houses physician practices and specialties and is the site of the Bowie Pharmacy. The Larkin Chase Care and Rehabilitation Center, a long-term care facility, is also located on the Bowie Health Campus. The facility specializes in respiratory care, progressive wound care, dialysis, and rehabilitation therapies.
Glenridge Medical Center
Glenridge Medical Center (GMC) is an ambulatory care/outpatient center affiliated with Dimensions Healthcare System. GMC provides primary medical care, other selected sub-specialty medical services and obstetrics and gynecologic (ob/gyn) medical care.
Cora B. Wood Senior Health Center
The Cora B. Wood Senior Health Center, under the medical direction of a board-certified family practice and geriatric medicine physician, provides primary and continuing comprehensive medical and nursing services. These services are provided to Prince George’s County residents 55 years of age and older who are in need of personalized healthcare. Services are provided to persons with disabilities as well to persons of low and moderate levels of income.
