Prince George's Hospital Center and The Pennington Institute for Health and Wellness grant Santa and his helpers their Christmas wish: a flu shot

What: Santa and Santa Helper Flu Vaccine Clinics to be held at Prince George’s Hospital Center (PGHC) and The Pennington Institute for Health and Wellness. In response to an article published in The Washington Post Metro Section on Sunday, December 19, 2004 titled “On His Wish List: A Flu Shot,” Prince George’s Hospital Center and The Pennington Institute have teamed up to grant Santa his “Christmas Wish.” The vaccines will be offered for free, compliments of The Pennington Empowerment Foundation. “We applaud Santa for wanting to take control of his health and staying healthy over this holiday season, we are glad that we are able to assist him in accomplishing his goal,” states Dr. Andrea Pennington, co-founder of the Foundation. “Since all the hopes and dreams of the holiday season rest on his shoulders, the last thing we want is for Santa to come down with the flu, “says Barbara Robinson, R.Ph., Pharmacy Director at PGHC.

We are asking that Santa and his helpers call to pre register by leaving their name, appointment time, and contact number. Santa and his helpers should come either in their Christmas suits or bring a picture “at his workshop.” The first 5 Santas at each location will receive a free copy of Dr. Andrea’s recently released book The Pennington Plan, 5 Simple Steps to Vibrant Health, Emotional Well-Being and Spiritual Growth.
