Health Events Health Events In Your CommunityChildbirth Education Classes Breastfeeding Classes Health and Wellness SeminarsCardiac Rehabilitation Program Phase I, usually 1-3 days, begins in the hospital and focuses on patient education and stabilization prior to being discharged. Phase II, 6-12 weeks, continues at The Cardiac Rehab Unit. During this phase, patient begins to exercise while monitored by EKG, and addresses issues such as reducing risk factors and adopting a heart healthy diet. Phase III and Phase IV, continue for life, may be conducted under medical supervision or unsupervised at the home. The goal of this phase is to reduce the risk of future heart problems.
