Prince George Hospital Center To Hold Blood Drive

June 22, 2010

The Prince George's Hospital Center is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Hospital Auditorium located at 3001 Hospital Drive. The event is open to the public. Appointments are recommended, however walk-ins are also welcome. Blood donors are in high demand, as only three out of every 100 people in America donate blood. Those eligible to donate blood must be healthy, at least 17 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds. Less than 5 percent of the population donates blood, yet 80 percent will need it at some time in their lives. Every 2.5 seconds someone needs blood. One blood donor can save as many as three lives with their donation blood. Join us, help save a life! Please contact Jeanne Colfack at 301-618-3053 to register.
